Best Wholesome Fix for Baked-Good Cravings: Living Arts Bakery

From their gluten- and refined-sugar-free sweets, including flaky, alternative-grain cinnamon rolls and rich muffins, to their savory spelt-flour focaccia, gently tucked full of goodies like pesto and sun-dried-tomato sausage, Living Arts Bakery does the seemingly impossible by making scrumptious baked goods good for you, too. Their pastries are currently available at the Sunset Valley Farmers Market as well as at Royal Blue Grocery at Third and Lavaca.

I have almost a full case (18 boxes, 250 count each) of the 2-oz paper portion cups (like the ones you get sometimes with ketchup at a burger place).

Will sell or trade for good food :) or other. We do not use them anymore. We are in East Austin.

I have a good friend who is looking for a health-inspected kitchen in which she can prepare baked goods for sale. She is willing to work around the owner’s schedule and pay a reasonable fee. Any suggestions?

8. Lisa - August 12, 2008

If I would have read the posted comments before I entered my comments, I would have seen that there is perfect solution already in place in East Austin!
I will be passing on the information about The Kitchen Space promptly.

My friend lives in Cedar Park, though. Is anyone aware of kitchen space further north?
Thanks…

9. Brian Kudler - October 23, 2008

Living Arts Bakery is retiring at the end of the year.

Our Rosewood kitchen is 1900 square feet, it has a seperate dish room, oven room, and prep room.Venthood and 100 gallon grease trap.

In the past its been a coffee shop and a restaurant. So there are lots of potential for this little gem on the east side.

Its located .5 miles from IH35

We are interested in selling the equipment that we own.

The rent is currently 1850 a month.

It goes up to 2000 by the end of the lease which is April of 2010.

Please contact Brian brian@werefinallyfree.com or Janet janet@werefinallyfree.com

We also are selling 2 commercial refrigerators, 2 commerical freezers, 2 gas convection ovens, 1 gas convection 6 burner stoves, 2 8ft stainless steel tables, and other prep equipment.

10. Jesse Bloom - December 31, 2008

Dear Small Bites Members,

I have two months left on the lease of a fantastic commercial kitchen in South Austin. I have spent the last year outfitting and cleaning the space, and getting it permitted. It is an electric kitchen with two great convection ovens and some not so great electric ranges. It is perfect for baking. It is ready for immediate move in and a new leasee in March. We are leaving to pursue another kitchen. I have put great energy and intention into this space and would love to hand it off to someone in need of a start-up space. It would be a fantastic space for an incubator or community kitchen. Please contact Jesse or Dawn at 512-514-1040 or info@ecstaticcuisine.com to get more details
